Watta AI Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") complies with the privacy protection regulations under the Personal Information Protection Act, the Act on the Promotion of Information and Communications Network Utilization and Information Protection, the Communications Privacy Protection Act, the Telecommunications Business Act, and other relevant laws that must be followed by information and communication service providers. We are committed to protecting users' rights and interests by establishing a privacy policy in accordance with the relevant laws. The Company's privacy policy contains the following information.

  1. Collection of personal information

All users may use the services provided by the company, and by signing up for membership they can receive an even wider variety of services. When collecting users’ personal information, we will always notify users of this fact in advance and obtain their consent. Collection methods include the website (membership registration and inquiries), service use, inquiry email, telephone, and written forms. The personal information we collect from users is as follows.

    • Basic information and contact details such as user name, phone number/email, and country

    • Workplace information such as company/department/job title

  2. Service use, etc.

    • Login ID (email), name, password

    • Generated information during the service usage process, such as usage patterns and frequency

    • Operating system and hardware environment information, such as OS version and device information

    • IP Address, cookies, device information, visit date and time, service usage records, improper usage records, etc.

    • Payment information such as card issuer name, card number, bank name, and account number when unavoidably required in the process of using paid services


B. Methods of collecting personal information

The company collects personal information through the following methods.

  • Website (PC, mobile)

    • Collected when submitting Contact Us, quote and demo requests, and during membership registration

    • Items collected: name, industry, email, country, phone number

  • Service use (platform)

    • Collected during the process of using platform services

    • Items collected: email, name, password

  1. Purpose of collection and processing of personal information

The personal information processed by the company is not used for purposes other than those listed below. If the purpose of use changes, we plan to implement necessary measures, such as obtaining separate consent, in accordance with Article 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act.

Users' personal information will be destroyed without delay if consent to its collection and use is withdrawn, if deletion is requested, or when the purpose of collecting and using personal information has been achieved. However, if the Company is required to retain it under applicable laws and regulations, it may retain personal information in accordance with the provisions of such laws.

The Company provides users’ personal information to third parties only in cases falling under Articles 17 and 18 of the Personal Information Protection Act, such as with the user’s consent or where specially stipulated by law. The Company provides personal information to third parties as follows.

  2. Purpose of provision: Data storage and system operation, website operation, and email transmission

  3. Country to which personal information is transferred: Republic of Korea (AWS Seoul Region)

  4. Items of personal information transferred: All personal information collected in the course of providing services

  5. Date/time of transfer of personal information: At the time of initial membership registration or service use

  6. Method of transfer of personal information: Storage of personal information in the AWS cloud computing environment

  7. Retention and usage period of personal information: Operation and management of cloud servers where personal information is stored during the personal information retention period


In principle, the Company does not disclose users’ personal information externally except for the items specified above. However, exceptions apply where required by law, where there is a request from an investigative agency in accordance with procedures and methods prescribed by law for investigative purposes, or where the user has given consent. In addition, where necessary for the preparation of statistics, academic research, or market surveys, information may be processed and provided in the form of statistical data that cannot identify specific individuals.

  1. The right to refuse consent and the disadvantages of refusing consent

Users can refuse to consent to the collection and use of personal information related to this service; however, if they refuse to consent to the collection of mandatory items, there may be limitations on services such as phone responses to inquiries.

    Users may at any time directly view or correct their registered personal information.


    b. Deletion of personal information (membership withdrawal)

    If a member wishes to withdraw membership, they may do so directly. If direct withdrawal is difficult, please contact the personal information manager by phone or email, and we will take action without delay.


    c. Misuse of personal information

    If the company discovers a person who has registered as a member or used the service by misappropriating another person's mobile phone number, email address, affiliated institution, or other ID or personal information, it will, without delay, take necessary measures such as suspending use of the service for that ID or terminating membership.

  1. Revision and notice of the privacy policy

The Company will provide prior notice at least 7 days in advance if there are any additions, deletions, or revisions to this Privacy Policy. However, when there are significant changes to users’ rights, such as changes to the items of personal information collected or the purpose of use, notice will be given at least 30 days in advance, and user consent may be obtained again if necessary.
